Voluntary manslaughter is intentionally killing a person or persons in which the offender had no prior intent to kill. The circumstances surrounding the killings must be one that would cause a reasonable person to become emotionally or mentally disturbed.

Involuntary manslaughter is the unintentional killing of another person, usually from recklessness, criminal negligence or a low-level felony
